The NMU soccer squad aims to combine returning talent with the new recruits to create a strong team in every position on the field. 

Returning juniors Renee LeBlanc and Amanda Gadomski as well as sophomore Brittney Buchanen led the team in goals last season.  Sophomore Abbie Debiak took the top sport in assists in 2005.

“We are pleased with this incoming class of quality student-athletes.  The level of play and overall athleticism will mesh well with our returning athletes and help us reach new heights,” Granstrand said.  “We look forward to the preseason with high expectations for an exciting year for the Wildcats.”

Northern jumps into play with a game against UW-Parkside in Midland, Mich. on Aug. 25 at 11 a.m. The ‘Cats will continue their road play in Youngstown Ohio on Aug. 27 at 1 p.m. when they face Youngstown State University.  The ‘Cats have their first home game and on Aug. 30 at 4 p.m. when they will host Mercyhurst.
