MARQUETTE, Mich. â€Â“ Qi Wang, the head womenâ€Â™svolleyball coach at Northern Michigan University, announces 10 morestudent-athletes have committed to attend NMU and play volleyball for theWildcats next year.  They join Heidi Breitenfeldt and Cassie Osiecki whocommitted in the fall during the early signing period.


The newcomers are Amy Andersen-Goldsworthy, Erin Gallagher,Katt Garvick, Barbara Homann, Becky Jarosch, Mandie Meyer, Aimee Mohr, CaitlinOâ€Â™Hara, Kate Olechny and Callie Youngman.


Andersen-Goldsworthy (6-0, RH/MH) attended James Madison Memorial High School in Madison, Wis. where she was part of a team that captureda conference championship in 2005.  She played club volleyball for theWisconsin Power Volleyball Club.  Andersen-Goldsworthy was first-teamall-conference for the past season and an all-city academic team selection. She recorded 245 kills, 65 blocks, 29 aces and 225 digs during her seniorseason.  Andersen-Goldsworthy has the second-highest season kills and careerhitting percentage (.324) at Madison High School, as well as the third-bestcareer kills and career blocks.  She also lettered four times in softball.


Gallagher (5-9, OH/DS) is from Mundelein, Ill. and Vernon Hills High School.  She played club volleyball for the Sky High Volleyball Club.   Gallagherwas a two-time first-team all-conference and all-area selection.   Ã‚ She setschool records for kills in a match (14), digs in a match (22), kills in aseason (288) and career kills (574).  Gallagher lettered three times involleyball.


Garvick (6-0, OH/MH/RH) is from New Lenox, Ill. and Lincoln-Way Central Community High School.  She played club volleyball for the UltimateVolleyball Club.  Garvick was selected to the all-conference and all-area teamsafter her senior campaign.  She set school records for career solo blocks (111)and service aces for a season (54).  Garvick had 176 kills during her seniorseason.  She lettered in volleyball four times and softball three times.


Homann (6-1, MH/RH) is from St. Charles East High School in St. Charles, Ill.  She played club volleyball for the Sports Performanceand Kane County Juniors Volleyball Clubs.  Homann set school records for solo blocksin a season and total blocks in a season.  She was selected to the all-conferenceand the Kane County All-Area teams in 2005.  Homann was a two-time selection tothe academic all-conference team. 


Jarosch (6-0, OH/MH) attended Elk Grove High School and is from Elk Grove Village, Ill. Ã‚  She played club volleyball for the Sports PerformanceVolleyball Club.  Jarosch was a two-time all-area honorable mention selection. She had the second-highest blocking stats on the team in 2005 with 64.  Jaroschlettered three times in volleyball and her team advanced to the sectionalchampionship match for the first time in school history (2005).


Meyer (5-10, OH) is from Crystal Lake, Ill. and Crystal Lake Central High School.  She played club volleyball for the Club FusionVolleyball Team.   Ã‚ Meyer was a two-time all-conference and all-area selection. She was also selected to the all-state team as a special mention (2004) and anhonorable mention (2005) picks.  Meyer was a three-time letterwinner where shehad over 500 kills her last two years of high school.


Mohr (5-6, S/DS) is from Crystal Lake, Ill. and Crystal Lake South High School.  She played club volleyball for the Club Fusion VolleyballTeam.  Mohr was a four-time letterwinner.  She received the Most Aces, ServingPercentage and Serve/Receive Awards. Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ 


Oâ€Â™Hara (6-1, MH) hails from Lemont, Ill. and Lemont High School.  She played club volleyball for the First Alliance and Lions EliteVolleyball Clubs.  Oâ€Â™Hara was a two-time all-conference selection.  She was anall-regional pick once.  Oâ€Â™Hara had 270 blocks during her high school career,which is a school record.  She lettered in volleyball three times as her teamwon back-to-back regional titles (2003-04). 


Olechny (6-0, OH) is from Northfield, Ill. and New Trier High School.  She played club volleyball for the Sky High 18 Red VolleyballClub.  Her team was the Central Suburban League champions and regionalchampions (2005). 


Youngman (5-9, S/RH) is from Cadillac, Mich.  She is atwo-time first team all-conference selection.  Youngman was a member of the CadillacNews All-Area Dream Team for her junior and senior seasons, and she was thecaptain of the squad her senior year.  She was also selected to the TraverseCity Record Eagle All-Area Team Class A/B after her junior and seniorseasons.  Youngman ended her high school career third on the all-time assistslist with 1,400 assists.  She has two of the top four marks for assists in aseason.  Youngman had 707 assists during her senior campaign.  She lettered insoccer four times, basketball three times and volleyball twice.
