MARQUETTE, Mich. â€Â“ The Northern Michigan University cross country ski team announces its award winners for the menâ€Â™s andwomenâ€Â™s teams for the 2005-06 season.

Phillip Violett was selected as the Freshman of the Year onthe menâ€Â™s side while Bibiane Mahy was the recipient for the women.  Violett andJustin Singleton shared the Most Improved Award for the men as Laura DeWitt wasselected for the women.

Adriaan Ostrander for the men, Maria Stuber and Tami Kochenfor the women were named the winners of the Team Choice Award.  Bryan Cook forthe men, Lindsey Weier and Kochen for the women picked up the Most ValuableAward.
