
MARQUETTE, Mich. - Northern MichiganUniversity is once again offering summer sports camps to children ages eightthrough 18. New improvements and additions were made to revamp the line-up ofcamps, allowing NMU to offer sessions from nine different sports.ÂÂ
Head Football Coach, Bernie Anderson, is teaming up with Iron Mountainâ€Â™s Tom Wender, to present a three- day football clinic to high schoolstudents. This will be the first camp Anderson will host at NMU.
Sten Fjeldheim and Jenny Ryan, NMU Cross Country Coaches, arehosting a camp for all athletes called Enduro Camp. This campâ€Â™s focus will be onthe endurance, balance, agility and strength it takes to compete in any sport.
Other sports offering camps or clinics are: hockey, boyâ€Â™sbasketball, swimming, soccer, girlâ€Â™s basketball, cross country and volleyball. For more information, check the web at: www.nmu.edu/athleticsor call PEIF office at (906) 227-2519.
