DE PERE, Wis. â€Â“ The â€Â˜Cats keep rolling along as theNorthern Michigan University menâ€Â™s basketball team picked up its fifth win in arow on Saturday with a 75-60 victory over St. Norbert College.  NMU is now 5-3overall on the season.  SNC is 1-5.  NMU has taken 18 of the past 19 games inthe series against the Green Knights.


Ricky Volcy must really like playing against the GreenKnights as he tied his career-high with 33 points on Saturday.  Twenty-four ofthe points were scored in the first half. Ã‚  He scored the same number of pointsagainst SNC last year in Marquette almost to the day.  Last year the two teamsplayed on Dec. 18.  R. Volcy was 13-19 from the floor, which included 2-7 fromthe three-point line and 5-7 from the free throw line.  He also had ninerebounds and five assists.


The â€Â˜Cats had a 36-33 lead after 20 minutes of play.  Withthe score tied at 41-all with a little less than two minutes gone in the half,the â€Â˜Cats went on a 21-2 run over the next 7:34 to take a 62-43 lead with 11:34left.  Chris Warner off the bench was the only other â€Â˜Cat to score indouble-digits as he had 12 for the game. 


Ryan Lallensack led the Green Knights with 19 markers. Marco Volcy added seven rebounds in the win.  For the game the â€Â˜Cats had arebounding advantage of 32-19.  NMU shot 61.5 percent from the floor for thegame (32-52), only 28.6 percent from the three-point line (4-14) and 43.8percent from the free throw line (7-16).


The â€Â˜Cats will be in action after Christmas at the UW-GreenBay Classic (Dec. 29-30).
