'Cats Open Season In Duluth, Mn

The Northern Michigan University Menâ€Â™s Basketball team is winless afterthree games played as they fell to Minnesota-Moorhead 59-68 in tonightâ€Â™snon-conference contest

DULUTH, Minn. â€Â“ AllisonCarrollâ€Â™s 21 points were not enough for a win as the Northern Michigan University womenâ€Â™sbasketball team lost to St. Cloud State, 65-76, on Saturday afternoon.  The â€Â˜Cats are now 0-1 on the year while theHuskies improve to 4-0. 

 

The â€Â˜Cats started out strong as they held a 16-11 lead with12:30 to play in the first half, and were down by just one-point (40-41)heading into halftime.  The Huskies cameout strong in the second half and put 20 points on the board while the â€Â˜Catsonly managed to score five.  The â€Â˜Catsfought back and brought the game within five points, but the Huskies were toomuch as the â€Â˜Cats fell 65-75. 

 

The â€Â˜Cats will face Minnesota-Duluth tomorrow night at 7:30p.m.
