EAST LANSING, Mich. â€Â“ The Northern Michigan University menâ€Â™s basketball team played its second exhibition game of theseason in as many nights on Saturday night at Michigan State University.  The Spartans downed the â€Â˜Cats by a score of 77-58.  MSU was up by nine at half,37-28.


Nick Buck led the way for NMU with 18 points and sevenrebounds.  Newcomer, Will Washington added 10 points, seven boards and foursteals.  Maurice Ager had 25 points to lead the Spartans.  NMU only shot 38.2percent from the floor for the game (21-55) and 19.2 percent from thethree-point line (5-26).  From the free throw line the â€Â˜Cats were 11-20 for 55percent.  MSU out-rebounded the â€Â˜Cats by 12 (42-30).  MSU was 25-52 from thefloor for the game for 48.1 percent.  MSU made six three-pointers out of 20attempts (30 percent).  From the line the home team converted 70 percent of itsfree throws (21-30). 


NMU will throw it up for real on Thursday (Nov. 17) at the University of South Dakota.
