ANN ARBOR, Mich. â€Â“ The Northern Michigan University menâ€Â™s basketball team played its first exhibition game of the season at the University of Michigan on Friday night.  The Wolverines had six players indouble-figures as they cruised to a 101-56 win over NMU.  Ricky Volcy led theâ€Â˜Cats with 15 points.  R. Volcy was 7-9 from the floor which included onethree-pointer.  Keder Hyppolite added 10 markers for NMU.


NMU was down 50-24 at the half and ended the game byshooting 38.3 percent from the floor (23-60).  The â€Â˜Cats were 6-24 from thethree-point line (25 percent) and 4-13 from the free throw line (30.8 percent)for the game.  Marco Volcy led all players with 11 rebounds.  UM did have the41 to 34 advantage on the glass.


NMU will face Michigan State tomorrow (Nov. 12) in East Lansing for its second exhibition on the swing.
