UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. â€Â“ The Northern Michigan University womenâ€Â™s volleyball team concluded its regular season on Sundayafternoon at Saginaw Valley State.  NMU won the match in three straight (30-28,30-28 and 30-18) to finish the regular season with a 15-11 overall record and a12-6 mark in the conference.  SVSU ends its season at 8-23 and 2-16respectively. 


The â€Â˜Cats are now seeded third out of the GLIAC North forthe GLIAC Volleyball Tournament and will travel to Northwood for its openinground match on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m.  The Timberwolves defeated the â€Â˜Catson Saturday in four games.


Sunday at SVSU, senior Andrea Smith had a match-high 19kills in the win.  She ended the match with a .378 hitting percentage.  SamSchulte was the other â€Â˜Cat to hit in double-digits as she had 13 kills and ahitting percentage of .333.  Brittany McGowan had 27 assists for the â€Â˜Cats withteammate Rachel Martinez adding 16.


Breanne Zaremba and Liz Kohn led the team on the defensivefront with 17 and 15 digs respectively.  Holly Greenamyre and Schulte both hadone block solo and three block assists.  Smith ended the match with six blockassists.
