MIDLAND, Mich. â€Â“ The Northern Michigan University womenâ€Â™s volleyball squad played its second match of the three-match weekendswing on Saturday afternoon at Northwood.  NU took the first game (22-30)before NMU won the second game (30-27) to tie the match at one-all.  TheTimberwolves won the third (25-30) and fourth (22-30) games to take the match. The â€Â˜Cats are now 14-11 overall on the season and 11-6 in the Great LakesIntercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).  NU improves to 20-9 and 14-4respectively.


Only two players for NMU had over 10 kills for the match. Andrea Smith led the way with 16 kills while teammate Nicole Hintze added 14. Hintze also had 13 digs and two block assists.  Brittany McGowan added 35assists, two service aces and 15 digs in the loss.  Holly Greenamyre had threeservice aces and three block assists for the match.


Liz Kohn led the â€Â˜Cats at the defensive end with 20 digswhile Breanne Zaremba added 16.  Holly Greenamyre had three service aces andthree block assists.


NMU will play the third match on its tour tomorrow afternoonat Saginaw Valley (Nov. 6).
