
ERIE, Pa. â€Â“ The Northern Michigan University womenâ€Â™s soccer squad dropped its third game in a row on Friday afternoon at Mercyhurst College. The Lakers improve to 12-4 overall and 1-3 in the Great LakesIntercollegiate Athletic Conference. NMU falls to 7-7 and 2-4 respectively.
The â€Â˜Cats had the early 1-0 lead on a goal by BrittneyBuchanan, for her sixth of the season, at 13:02 of the game, but that was allfor Green and Gold. The goal was unassisted.ÂÂÂ
Lisa Casement would score all three Laker goals for thewin. She scored at 61:21, 67:07 and 76:49.
The Lakers had 23 shots for the game as six were on goal. NMU kicked the ball towards the goal five times with one on target. The â€Â˜Catsdid not have a corner kick in 90 minutes of play, but the home team had five.
NMU will continue with its Erie swing with a game at Gannonon Sunday (Oct. 23).
