Midland, Mich. â€Â“ The Northern Michigan University womenâ€Â™s soccer team won its second game in a row with a 4-1 decision overWest Virginia Wesleyan on Friday.  The game was played at Northwood University.  With the win the â€Â˜Cats are now 7-4 on the season.  West Virginia Wesleyan falls to0-10.


NMU struck for two goals in the first half.  Abigail Debiakgave the â€Â˜Cats the 1-0 lead with a goal at 14:40 on an assist from MichelleBrown.  Amanda Gadomski made the score 2-0 with an unassisted goal at 36:02.


The second 45 minutes of play saw Brittney Buchanan make thescore 3-0 with a goal at 59:14.  Gadomski assisted on the goal.  At the 61:23mark Renee LeBlanc gave the â€Â˜Cats a 4-0 lead on an unassisted goal.  With lessthan eight minutes left in the contest West Virginia Wesleyan got on the board.


NMU had 22 shots for the game as 14 were on goal.  TheBobcats had four shots for the game as three were on target.  Corner kicks werealmost even as NMU had the four to three advantage.


The â€Â˜Cats continue with their road trip by jumping back intoGLIAC play on Sunday (Oct. 9) at Ashland.
