ERIE, Pa. â€Â“ The Northern Michigan University womenâ€Â™s volleyball squad won their fourth straight match on Thursday night at Mercyhurst College.  NMU won the match in three straight by scores of 30-18, 30-25 and30-22.  The â€Â˜Cats are now .500 on the season with a 5-5 overall slate and a 2-0mark in GLIAC play.  Mercyhurst falls to 11-2 overall and 1-1 in conferenceaction.


Holly Greenamyre led all players with 15 kills on thenight.  She ended the match with a hitting percentage of .393 (15/28).  AndreaSmith added seven kills in the win.  Brittany McGowan had a match-high 34assists. 


On the defensive front three â€Â˜Cats had over 10 digs. Leading the way was Nicole Hintze with 12 digs as she was followed by BreanneZaremba with 11 and Paris Malin had 10.  Sara Keilman at the net had two blocksolos and a block assist.


For the match the â€Â˜Cats had a hitting percentage of .272(49/125).  NMU had a hitting percentage in two of the three games at .300 orbetter.  The opening game of the match, NMU hit at .306 percent (15/36).  Inthe third game, the â€Â˜Cats were at .300 percent (16/40).


NMU will stay in Erie, Pa. to take on Gannon University tomorrow night (Sept. 16).
