MARQUETTE, Mich. â€Â“ The NorthernMichigan University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and RecreationalSports will host the Wildcat Sports Festival on Tuesday, Sept. 20 from 6-8 the Superior Dome. 


The sports festival is a free family-oriented event which willoffer fun-filled activities for area children and adults.  All the activitieswill be led by Wildcat players representing NMUâ€Â™s athletic teams.  â€ÂœThis is anopportunity for the entire family to come out and enjoy all the activities,â€Â saidBrian Gaudreau, the Associate Director-Programming for Intercollegiate Athleticsand Recreational Sports.


Opportunities for photos and autographs will be availablewith Wildcat Willy, Wildcat players, cheerleaders and coaches. Ã‚  The public isencouraged to bring their cameras.  A Young Wildcat Club membership table willbe set up at the event for interested individuals to join.  The weekly sportsshow on Northern Star Broadcastingâ€Â™s WUPK (94.1 FM) will air live from theSuperior Dome that night at 7 p.m.  The â€Â˜Cats Corner store and ticket officewill be open throughout the evening.  Food will be available at the SuperiorDome for purchase.
