MARQUETTE, Mich. â€Â“ The NorthernMichigan University Athletic Department has announced that CharterCommunications will not televise NMU home hockey games for the 2005-06 season. Reduced student labor costs associated with Northernâ€Â™s budget situation is thereason behind the move.  During the 2004-05 season, Charter used NMU studentsto run the cameras and handle other technical duties during the broadcast ofthe games. 


â€ÂœWe appreciate working with Charter and all that they havedone for us,â€Â said, Ken Godfrey, NMU Athletic Director.  â€ÂœI thought that theexperience with Charter was a very good way for the students to gain valuableexperience.â€Â  Ã‚ 


The only way to see a home NMU hockey game during the2005-06 season will be at the Berry Events Center.  Hockey season tickets arecurrently available at the NMU Ticket Office.  Full season tickets for adultsare available for $210, while Friday only games are $121 and Saturday only are$110.  For students under 18, pay $126 for full season, $66 for Friday-onlygames, and $60 for Saturday games.  Single game tickets are also available atthe NMU Ticket Office.  NMU students should contact the NMU Ticket Office.
