MARQUETTE, Mich. â€Â“ Rivalry Night 2005is this Saturday, August 27 with the main event taking place in the SuperiorDome at 7 p.m.  On the main card is the football game between the NorthernMichigan University Wildcats and the Michigan Tech University Huskies.  Butbefore the kick-off for the Minerâ€Â™s Cup, a Kick-Off Party will be taking placefrom 4-7 p.m. at the East End of the Superior Dome; if it rains the event willbe moved inside the East Entrance.  â€ÂœThis is a great opportunity for all tocome to the Superior Dome have some fun, eat and take part in the games beforethe football game against Tech,â€Â Brian Gaudreau, the associate director ofprogramming for intercollegiate athletics and recreational sports, said. 


Food, music and games will be provided.  A standard BBQ picnicbuffet will be served.  The meal is free for NMU students with a meal plan and$6.75 for people who would like to purchase a ticket for the meal.  Lambda ChiAlphaâ€Â™s â€ÂœLambda Jamâ€Â featuring â€ÂœHamster Damâ€Â will be performing for yourlistening enjoyment. 


Incredible inflatable games for all ages will be provided. The games include:  the end zone obstacle course, a 50-foot long adventure thatends with a huge slide; the cheesehead challenge, which is a unique obstaclecourse featuring a giant cheese grater; the stadium bounce, children will enjoyspringing around in this fully-enclosed area; and the touchdown equalizer,battle with the bungee to get a baton through the uprights.  In case of rain,the games will be held in the Vandament Arena and Basketball Practice Gyms. Ã‚  â€ÂœThegames should provide entertainment and fun for all ages,â€Â Gaudreau added.


Season as well as individual game tickets are stillavailable at the NMU Ticket Office.  Pick 10 Packs in which the 10 ticketvouchers can be used in any combination for football, volleyball, basketballare on sale for $40.  The EZ Ticket Office in theSuperior Dome is open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Any questions regarding current season tickets and/or single event ticketsplease contact the EZ Ticket Office at (906) 227-1032.
