Men's Cagers Receive Another Commitment

 

MARQUETTE, Mich. â€Â“ Dean Ellis the head menâ€Â™sbasketball coach at Northern Michigan University has announced anothercommitment to the menâ€Â™s basketball program.  Tyler Kazmiekoski, a 6-5, 215,guard, from Peshtigo High School will join the â€Â˜Cats in the fall.  He playedthis past season at UW-Stout where he appeared in nine games for the BlueDevils and averaged over seven points a game.  Kazmiekoski will have to sitnext season, due to NCAA rules and be redshirted, but will be eligible for the 2005-06campaign.  He will have three years of eligibility remaining.

 

During his high school career he averaged 19.7 ppg, 9.8 rpgand 5.1 apg.  Kazmiekoski shot 44 percent from the three-point line and 54percent from the floor overall.  His team won the conference championship hissenior year.  Kazmiekoski was a Division III all-star, an academic all-stateselection and tied the record for most points in the Division II all-star gamewith 26.
