ALLENDALE, Mich. â€Â“ The Northern Michigan University womenâ€Â™s outdoor track and field team placed seventh at the 2005 GLIAC Outdoor Trackand Field Championships which were held at Grand Valley State University over the past two days.  NMU tallied 40 team points as the Lakers won the womenâ€Â™steam title with 259 points.  For complete results follow the link:


Jennie Lahr who had the fastest time in the 1,500-meter runafter the prelims yesterday finished in third place in the finals on Fridaywith a time of 4:35.38.  The â€Â˜Cats had two other runners in the 1,500 as BrookeRediger was seventh (4:51.52) and Jessica Kalafut was 12th(5:06.87).  Stephanie Boyer scored points for the â€Â˜Cats with a fifth placeshowing in the 400 dash (57.57). Ã‚ ÃƒÃ‚‚ 


Rediger then turned around and was eighth in the 3,000 witha time of 10:42.51.  Danielle Stein was 15th in the 3,000 (10:59.95)as teammate Brittney Coehoorn was next with an 11:00.21.  In the 5,000 threeâ€Â˜Cats finished out of placing for team points as Jamie Grunert was 10th(19:07.17) as she was followed by Kara Farquhar in 11th (19:14.70)and Jane Stieber in 13th (19:23.42). 


The relays scored points for the â€Â˜Cats in the team chase. Boyer, Stephanie Mishica, Danielle St. Onge and Lahr were the members of the4x100 relay which placed fourth with a time of 50.06.  The 4x400 relay of KayleeLaakso, Boyer, St. Onge and Lahr was sixth in the event with a clocking of4:03.34.


Sarah Ray was 16th in the high jump for the â€Â˜Cats(4-0.50).  Leslie Luehmann just missed scoring for the â€Â˜Cats in the long jumpas she was ninth (16-04.25).  The shot put saw Tiffany Grubaugh placed ninthwith a throw of 39-05.75 and teammate Kelly Pavlovich was 21st(33-7.25).  Grubaugh placed fourth in the discus with a 126-00 throw. Pavlovich was 17th in the discus (70-11).
