MARQUETTE, Mich. ÃƒƒÃ‚¢Ãƒ‚Ã‚€Ãƒ‚Ã‚“ The Northern Michigan University Wildcat hockey team has clinchedhome-ice for the first round of the 2005 Central Collegiate Hockey Associationplayoffs. In the first round, March 11-12-13, the top six teams from theregular season host teams seven through 12 in a best-of-three series. The thirdgame, scheduled for March 13, will only be played if the series is not decidedin the first two games. The ÃƒƒÃ‚¢Ãƒ‚Ã‚€Ãƒ‚Ã‚˜Cats are currently in third place in the CCHA with30 points and still have four games remaining in league play.
Tickets for the Friday andSaturday playoff games are on sale now at all NMU EZ ticket locations, whiletickets for Sunday will be available at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13. In additionto WillyÃƒƒÃ‚¢Ãƒ‚Ã‚€Ãƒ‚Ã‚™s Snak Shak, the Superior Dome ticket office, the Berry Events Centerticket office will be open Friday, March 11 through Sunday, March 13, startingat 12:00 p.m., noon. Tickets to all games are reserved seats and cost $13 forthe general public, $12 for season ticket holders and $8 for NMU students andanyone under the age of 18.ÃƒƒÃ‚‚Ãƒ‚Ã‚ Season ticket holders must call or go to theSuperior Dome ticket office to get their reserved seats at the discountedprice.
The Blue Line Club will behosting a ÃƒƒÃ‚¢Ãƒ‚Ã‚€Ãƒ‚Ã‚œPlayoffÃƒƒÃ‚¢Ãƒ‚Ã‚€Ãƒ‚Ã‚ Blue Line Luncheon at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 11 at the University Center.
The games will not be televisedby Charter Communications.ÃƒƒÃ‚‚Ãƒ‚Ã‚ The only way to see the games will be in person atthe Berry Events Center.
