MARQUETTE, Mich. â€Â“ The NorthernMichigan University Athletic Department has announced the Academic Athletes ofthe Month for January and February.

Emily Belland from the womenâ€Â™s basketball team and RachelDaw from the cross country running squad were named as the recipients forJanuary.  For February, Kara Farquhar from the cross country running team andViktoria Koskenoja from the cross country running and skiing teams were named.

Belland has a 4.0 grade point average with a major in publicrelations.  Daw an environment science major has a 4.0 GPA.  Farquhar anelementary education major holds a 4.0 GPA.  Koskenoja who is majoring inbiology also has a 4.0 grade point average.
