BAY CITY, Mich. â€Â“ For the second week in a rowa Northern Michigan University menâ€Â™s basketball player was named the GLIACNorth Division Player of the Week.  This week sophomore forward Ricky Volcy wasnamed the player of the week as he led the Wildcats to a home sweep of NorthDivision rivals Lake Superior and Saginaw Valley State last week.  Volcyrecorded 20 points, seven rebounds, four steals and three assists in the winover the Lakers on Thursday.  In the victory over the Cardinals on Saturday, hetallied 28 points, six rebounds and four assists.

For the week, Volcy averaged 24 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5assists and 2.5 steals while shooting 60 percent from the floor (18-of-30).  Hecurrently ranks third in the GLIAC in scoring (19.2 ppg) and fourth inrebounding (7.5 rpg).
