MARQUETTE, Mich. â€Â“ Jim Moore the Northern Michigan University head womenâ€Â™s volleyball coach has resigned to accept the womenâ€Â™s volleyballcoaching position at the University of Oregon.  At Oregon he takes over forCarl Ferreira who was the head coach for five seasons in Eugene where he was43-104 overall and 4-86 in the Pacific-10 Conference.  The Ducks were 10-19overall and 1-17 in Pac-10 action for the 2004 season. 

Moore just completedhis second season of his second stint in Marquette (2003-04), where he was50-8.  He led the â€Â˜Cats to the NCAA II Elite Eight this past season and led theteam to the GLIAC Volleyball Tournament title in 2003 after going through theregular season with a perfect 18-0 mark in the conference.  After the 2003season, Moore was named the GLIAC and AVCA Regional Coach of the Year. 

Moore is an overall173-63 (.733) in Marquette over seven seasons.  His first stint in Marquette was from 1989-93 where he was 123-55 and led the â€Â˜Cats to the NCAA II NationalChampionship in 1993.  His overall collegiate record is 352-156 (.692) in 16seasons of coaching.  His other stops have been at Kansas State (1994-96), the University of Texas (1997-00) and Chico State (2001-02).
