MARQUETTE, Mich. - The second part of theweekend dual meets against St. Cloud was held on Saturday afternoon at the PEIFPool.  For the second day the Huskies downed the Aqua-â€Â˜Cats 161-78.  The formatof the meet today was a little different than the order of events which wereswum on Friday night.  The teams would be competing in the longer events onSaturday.


Lindsey Vermillion scored the first win for the team assecond captured the second event of the day, the 1,650-yard freestyle.  She wonthe event with a clocking of 18:47.19 as she just out touched the second placeswimmer (18:47.70).  She also had a third place showing in the 200 backstroke(2:24.46) during the meet.


Larisa Graham and Mimi Marschall went 1-2 in the 400individual medley.  Graham touched the wall first in a time of 4:47.51 asMarschallâ€Â™s time was 4:49.58.  Graham then picked up a second place finishlater in the meet in the 200 breaststroke (2:37.56).


For the second day in a row Michelle Ruiz won the one-meterdiving with a score of 243.70 and was third on the three-meter board (255.70). Ã‚ ÃƒÃ‚‚ Other second place finishers came from Sarah Bartosh in the 200 butterfly(2:24.11), and Sam Pechek in the 50 (25.41) and 100 freestyle (54.97).


Both relays were second on the day.  The 400 medley relay ofJulie Weiler, Graham, Bartosh and Pechek swam the event in a time of 4:16.88. In the final event of the meet the 400 freestyle relay of Marschall,Vermillion, Cricket Knight and Catt Dougherty cover the combined 16 laps in a timeof 3:55.22.


The team will dive and swim back in action against North Dakota on Saturday, Nov. 13.
