MARQUETTE, Mich. â€Â“ The Northern Michigan University womenâ€Â™s soccer team scored a 1-0 victory over the visiting Gannon GoldenKnight on Saturday afternoon at the NMU Soccer Field.  With the win the â€Â˜Catsare 7-5-3 overall on the season and 2-4-1 in the GLIAC.  Gannon is now 5-11-0and 0-6-0 in conference action.

Hannah Marshall kicked home the lone goal of the afternoon. Her goal came at 48:40 of the game and it was unassisted.  For the game NMU had25 shots as 12 were on goal. Gannon had a total of nine shots for the game asfour were on target.

Karen LeBlanc pitched her third shutout of the season withher four saves on the day.  NMU also had five corner kicks for the game to fourfor the Golden Knights. 

The team will conclude the 2004 season by playing Mercyhurston Sunday afternoon at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on the NMU soccer pitch.
