HOUGHTON, Mich. â€Â“ A little over a month ago in Marquette the Michigan Tech Huskies took the Northern Michigan University Wildcats to fivegames in their first volleyball match of the season.  That is after the â€Â˜Catsjumped out to a two game lead over Tech.  Switch venues, tonight in Houghton,the â€Â˜Cats took care of business in three straight over the Huskies (30-21,30-27, 30-25).  With the win the â€Â˜Cats are now 19-4 overall and 11-4 in theGLIAC.  The Huskies fall to 9-18 and 6-9 in the conference.


Ashley Kiel continues with her recent play by leading theâ€Â˜Cats with 12 kills in 23 total attempts for a hitting percentage of .435. Andrea Smith and Holly Greenamyre added 11 and 10 kills respectively.  Kiel also added 13 digs and five block assists.  Libero Liz Kohn had 12 digs in the win.


Kelli McCune and Brittany McGowan were almost even inassists.  McGowan had 24 helpers while McCune had 23.  Smith and Greenamyreboth had three block assists on the night.


NMU will play their regular season home finale on Friday,Oct. 29 against Lake Superior State at 7:00 p.m.
