A Full Weekend Of Hockey Activities

 

 

MARQUETTE, Mich. â€Â“ The Northern Michigan University hockey team will host the Michigan StateUniversity Spartans this weekend, Oct. 22-23.  This weekend the 'Cats are alsohosting the current players parents as well as the alumni of the hockeyprogram.  The limited supply of remaining tickets will be available forpurchase as single game tickets on Wednesday, Oct. 20th at 8:00 a.m.  Ticketsmay be purchased at any of the NMU EZ Ticket Outlets, including Willy's SnakShak and the Superior Dome Ticket Office.

 

Events for the NMU HockeyParent's/Alumni Weekend kick off with a Blue Line Luncheon on Friday at noon inthe Peter White Lounge of the University Center.  The luncheon will featureformer player/Olympian Eric LeMarque, as well as may other alumni.  Eric andhis former teammates will be in town celebrating Eric's life after hisnear-death experience while snowboarding last winter. Friday's luncheon willalso feature Rick Comley, head coach of the Michigan State Spartans. 

 

Friday night at 6:50 p.m. headcoach Walt Kyle will host "Chalk Talk" in the Wildcat Room.  Everyhome series Coach Kyle hosts this event to provide insight into the game. Friday and Saturday night's games begin at 7:35 p.m.

 

Saturday from 5-7 p.m. therewill be a tailgate party in the Berry Events Center Parking Lot, featuring theNMU dance team, music and a raffle.  Grills will be provided. After the gamethe Blue Line Club will be hosting their first 4th Period Party of the year. The 4th Period Party will take place in the lobby of the Landmark and willbegin immediately following Saturday night's contest against the Spartans. Ã‚
