'Cats Blanked By Lakers


LITTLE LEADS THE 'CATS TO VICTORY

 

 

ALLENDALE, Mich. â€Â“ The Northern Michigan UniversityWildcat soccer team were held scoreless in their 3-0 loss to Grand Valley State University on Friday. The â€Â˜Cats fall to 6-2-2 overall and 1-1-0 in theGLIAC, while the Lakers improve to 9-3-0 overall and 1-1-0 in the GLIAC.

 

Tabitha Magnan played all 89:31 and finished the game withseven saves on 10 shots.  Erin Murphy had the shutout for the Lakers whileteammate Mirela Tutundzic scored all three goals. Her first goal was at 12:04of the game with the next two following at 58:54 and 71:27.  The â€Â˜Cats had twoshots in the contest while Grand Valley had 24.   

 

The â€Â˜Cats travel up the road to Big Rapids, Mich. for a gameon Sunday (Oct. 10) before returning home for two games next week.  The â€Â˜Catswill take on Northwood on Wednesday, Oct. 13, and Ashland on Saturday, Oct.16.  Both games are scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
