'Cats Roll On All Wheels In Motown


 

DETROIT, Mich. â€Â“ It took the NMU volleyballteam a little over an hour to defeat the Warriors of Wayne State University onFriday night in the Motor City.  The â€Â˜Cats were like a well tuned machine asthey won in three straight (30-20, 30-18, 30-18) to bring their record to 15-2overall and 7-2 in the GLIAC.  WSU falls to 8-8 and 3-5 in the conference.

 

This weekâ€Â™s GLIAC North Player of the Week, Aimee Dewitteled the way with 15 kills in 43 total attempts for a hitting percentage of.233.  Holly Greenamyre added 14 kills, but she had 22 total attempts for ahitting percentage of .545.  Ashley Kiel was the third â€Â˜Cat to hit indouble-digits as she had 10 kills on the night.

 

Kelli McCune had a match-high 43 assists on the night andadded 10 digs in the win.  Liz Kohn and Kiel both ended the night with 16 digseach. 

 

The â€Â˜Cats continue with their GLIAC South swing with a matchtomorrow at Hillsdale.
