Hannah Marshall Scores Two Of The First Four Goals
The NorthernMichiganUniversitywomenâ€Â™s soccer team ran their overall record to 6-1-2 with a 10-0 win over thevisiting Northland Baptist team on Saturday afternoon at the NMU soccer field.
The NMU record for most goals in a game is 12 which was set at West Virginia Tech during the 2003 season. NMU played West Virginia Tech a couple ofweeks ago and scored nine goals in that game.
Hannah Marshall playing in only her second game of theseason scored two of the first four goals for the â€Â˜Cats. She scored the opening goal of the game at4:33 before adding her second goal at 15:04. Marshallâ€Â™sfirst goal was unassisted, but her second goal was assisted by Marley Garceo. MichelleGillespie at 5:06 and Michelle Brown at 8:32 added unassisted goals between Marshallâ€Â™s goals. Jamie Beebe added the fifth goal for thefirst half at 21:47 on an assist from Erica Graves.ÂÂÂ
Rachel Holman made it 6-0 with a goal at 54:52 of the gamethat was unassisted. Renee LeBlanc addedto the total with her fourth goal of the season at 63:53. The next goal was scored on a penalty kick byAmanda Gadomski at 64:31. Brooke Beckman made the score 9-0 with anunassisted goal at 77:59. The final goalof the day came from Robin Moliassa from Kelli Riesen at 78:40 of thegame.
The â€Â˜Cats go on the road for their next two games as theywill play at GrandValley on Oct. 8 and thenface Ferris State on Oct. 10.
