LITTLE LEADS THE 'CATS TO VICTORY

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. â€Â“ The NorthernMichigan University Volleyball Wildcats took care of business on Tuesday nightas they defeated the Lake Superior State Lakers in three games (30-26, 30-19, 30-20). The â€Â˜Cats improve to 12-2 on the season and 4-2 in the GLIAC. Lake Superior Stateis 5-12 overall and 1-4 in the conference.  

 

A total of 11 â€Â˜Cats saw action in the win for NMU, with AimeeDewitte leading the team in five categories.  On the night she had a team-high12 kills on 22 attempts for a hitting percentage of .409, three service aces,16 digs and four block assists. Teammate Ashley Kiel added 11 kills, threeservice aces, nine digs, and four block assists. Kelly McCune dished out amatch-high 22 assists.

 

The â€Â˜Cats play host to a pair of conference foes thisweekend as they face Gannon University on Saturday, Oct. 2, at 4:00 p.m., and MercyhurstCollege on Sunday, Oct. 3, at 1:00 p.m.
