MARQUETTE, Mich. â€Â“ Jennie Littleended the match with a hitting percentage of .524, as she had 14 kills on 21total attempts and two service aces as the Northern Michigan Universityvolleyball team beat the Ferris State Bulldogs 3-0 (30-28, 30-27, 30-23) onFriday night. NMU is now 11-1 on the season and 3-1 in the GLIAC.  The Bulldogsare now 10-3 overall for the season and 2-1 in the GLIAC.


The â€Â˜Cats had a balanced scoring attack as Littleâ€Â™steammates Andrea Smith and Aimee Dewitte added 11 and 9 kills respectively tothe win.  As a team the â€Â˜Cats had 54 kills on 118 attempts with only 16errors, a hitting percentage of .322.


Dewitt and Ashley Kiel had 14 and 11 digs respectively tolead the â€Â˜Cats defensively.  Kiel added three block assists in the winwhile teammate Andrea Smith added 1 block solo and 2 block assists. BrittanyMcGowan had 17 sets and Kelli McCune had 14 assists to balance the â€Â˜Cats on thenight. 


The Bulldogs were led by Karla Fairbanks with a match high20 kills on 39 attempts, while teammate Ashley Green dished out a match high 32assists.


The â€Â˜Cats are back in action tomorrow (Sept.25) when theyhost Grand Valley State at 4 p.m. Grand Valley is ranked 11th in thenation by the AVCA Division II Coaches Poll.
