'Cats Win In Less Than An Hour


 

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. â€Â“ It took the NMU volleyball team(6-0) less than an hour, 59 minutes to be exact, to record their sixth win ofthe season and extend their regular season match winning streak to 29 matcheswith a three-game win (30-14, 30-18, 30-20) over Quincy University in first dayaction of the GLVC-GLIAC crossover tournament.  Quincy falls to 1-8 on theseason.

 

Aimee Dewitte was the lone â€Â˜Cat to have double-digit killsas she had 11 for the match in 18 total attempts for a hitting percentage of.444.  She also led the team with 11 digs and three service aces.  JennieLittle also had three service aces and three block assists for the day.  Littleadded seven kills in 11 total attempts (.636) to her performance for the match.

 

Liz Kohn turned in a solid defensive effort with her 10digs.  Ashley Kiel chipped in with nine digs and five block assists.  BrittanyMcGowan and Kelli McCune led the charge with 17 and 13 assists respectively.

 

NMU will face UW-Parkside and Lewis tomorrow in second dayaction at the crossover tournament.
