The â€Â˜Cats have moved up in the CSTV/AVCA Division II Coaches Top 25 Poll. NMU was ranked 14th in the preseason poll, but in the first poll released on Tuesday, Sept. 7 the â€Â˜Cats are ranked 10th in the nation.
Entering the weekend at Lewis University the â€Â˜Cats have won 27 regular season matches in a row dating back to the 2003 season. NMU plays Lewis on Thursday night (Sept. 9), before playing Quincy on Friday at the Lewis Invitational. On Saturday the â€Â˜Cats face Wisconsin-Parkside and Lewis at the invitational.
Before the match on Tuesday, Sept. 14 against Michigan Tech the unveiling of the 2003 GLIAC championship banner will take place. Match time is 7 p.m.
WNGE (99.5 FM) has announced that they will broadcast three of NMUâ€Â™s volleyball matches. The first match will be against Michigan Tech on Tuesday night. The second will be on Saturday, Oct. 2 against Gannon at 4 p.m. The final match to be on the air will be the match on Sunday, Oct. 24 at 1 p.m. against Northwood.
