Wildcat Happenings

NORTHERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY WILDCAT HAPPENINGS:

 

*The NMU football team is currentlypracticing twice a day for their opener on August 28 at Michigan Tech with a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.

*Football Media Day is set forSaturday, August 21 at 1:00 p.m. in the Superior Dome.

*The first home football game isagainst The University of Findlay on Saturday, September 11 at 7:00 p.m.

*The NMU volleyball team iscurrently in preseason drills as the â€Â˜Cats have a morning and an afternoonsession.

*The â€Â˜Cats were ranked 14thin the CSTV/AVCA Preseason Top 25.

*NMU opens the 2004 campaign onFriday, August 27 against Minnesota-Duluth at 7:00 p.m.  The Bulldogs wereranked 17th in the preseason poll.

*The current volleyball â€Â˜Cats willtake on the 1994 NCAA II National Championship Team on Saturday, August 21 at 7:00 p.m.

*The NMU womenâ€Â™s soccer team openspreseason workouts this week.

*The home opener and Matt Granstrandâ€Â™sdebut as the â€Â˜Cats new coach will be on Saturday, August 28 againstMinnesota-Crookston at 1:00 p.m.

*The soccer â€Â˜Cats will play Moorhead State on August 29 at 2:00 p.m.

*Season tickets for volleyball andfootball are currently available.  Contact the NMU Ticket Office  at (906) 227-1032.

*Also available from the ticketoffice are All-Sports Passes (good for football, volleyball, and menâ€Â™s andwomenâ€Â™s basketball) and Pick 10 ticket packs for football, volleyball, andmenâ€Â™s and womenâ€Â™s basketball.

*The â€Â˜Cats have a new radio home asWNGE (99.5 FM) will carry the action.
