Jennifer Lahr Makes Ncaa Ii National Provisional Cut Time At Notre Dame


 

NOTRE DAME, Ind. â€Â“The NMU womenâ€Â™s track and field team competed at the Notre Dame Track and FieldSpring Opener on Saturday under windy and less than ideal conditions.  No teamscore was kept, but the â€Â˜Cats competed against teams from Notre Dame, WesternMichigan, Central Michigan, Ball State and DePaul.

Jennifer Lahr led the â€Â˜Cats on theday with a third place finish in the 3,000-meter run with an NCAA II nationalprovisional cut time of 10:16.09. Ã‚ ÃƒÃ‚‚  Stephanie Boyer had two top eight finishesas she was eighth in the long jump (4.84m) and sixth in the 400 dash with aclocking of 59.90. 

The 4x100 relay of Kaylee Laakso,Breanna Riedel, Monique McIntyre and Leanna Ketola were fourth with a time of52.1.  Riedel also placed in the triple jump with a leap of 10.09, which wasgood for sixth place.  Kara Farquhar was seventh in the 3000 steeplechase forthe day (12:24.36).

The â€Â˜Cats next action will be thisThursday (April 8) at Ferris State.
