MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Northern Michigan University women's basketball team is conducting two events forchildren.  The Young Lady Wildcat Basketball League will run on Saturdays(April 10, 17, 24 and May 1, 8) from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. (Noon).  The leagueis open to girls in grades 3, 4, 5 and 6.  The cost is $40 for the first playerand $30 for each additional family member.  Each participant will receive anofficial league T-shirt, instruction from NMU players and coaches, drills forimproving ball handling and shooting skills and eight league games.

The Little Dribblers Basketball Camp is open to boysand girls in grades K, 1, 2 and 3.  The camp dates are April 20, 21, 22, 27,28, 29 and each session will be from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Ã‚  Emphasis of the camp will be onteaching the campers the fundamentals of the game of basketball.  Specialemphasis will be placed on passing, catching, ball handling, footwork and eye-handcoordination.  Cam features include daily contests, prizes and awards,handouts on drills covered in camp and each participant will receive aT-shirt.  The cost of the camp is $45 for the first child and $35 for thesecond child in the family.
