HOUGHTON, Mich. â€Â“ The NMUwomenâ€Â™s cross country ski team competed at Michigan Tech on Saturday (Feb. 7)and placed seven skiers in the top 10 to easily win the event with 24 teampoints.  MTU was second with 15 points.

Viktoria Koskenoja won the 5K skiwith a time of 16:15.  The third through the seventh spots belonged to theâ€Â˜Cats.  Caitlin Compton was third (16:51) followed by Jennifer Wygant (17:01), Aniya Deitz (17:01), Stephanie Howe (17:01) and Katherine Huemmer (17:06).  Maggie Sorenson finished in the top 10 with a ninth place showing (18:15).

NMU will be at the MidwestConference Championships this weekend Feb. 14-15.
