UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich.â€Â“ The Northern Michigan University womenâ€Â™s track team competed at the SVSUTeam Challenge on Saturday (Feb. 7).  Jennifer Lahr led the way with a firstplace showing in the 3000-meter run in a new meet record time of 10:07.89. Kara Farquhar in the same event placed ninth (10:53.36).

Stephanie Boyer had two top 10finishes at the meet as she tied for fifth place in the long jump (17-2) andfinished in seventh place in the 200 with a time of 26.77.  Breanna Riedel wassixth in the triple jump (33-3.25) and Monique McIntyre tied for ninth in thehigh jump (4-10).

Jessica Kalafut running a 2:25.1 inthe 800 placed 10th in the event.  Jamie Grunert placed 10thin the 5000 with a time of 19:35.

The 4 x 400 relay of StephanieMishica, Kalafut, Tracy Wills and Boyer ran a 4:25.37 which was good for 12thplace.

The â€Â˜Cats host the NMU Open thisSaturday (Feb. 14) at the Superior Dome.  The field events will start at 11:00 a.m. while the running events will begin at 11:30 a.m.
