Sten Fjeldheim To Lead U.s. Junior World Team


 

MARQUETTE, Mich.- Northern Michigan University Head Cross CountrySki Coach Sten Fjeldheim has beenchosen to lead the U. S. Junior World Team at the Junior World Championshipswhich will be held in Stryn, Norwayfrom January 26 to February 6.

 

Joining Fjeldheim from NMU on the trip will be LindseyWeier, Lindsay Williams and Ben Cline as they are all currently members of theU.S. Junior National Team who are slated to compete at the championships.

 

Two NMU freshmen skiers, Robert Baldwin and Morgan Smyth arealso in the running to qualify for the event as they must make the U.S. JuniorWorld Team.

 

Baldwin and Smyth along with the other NMU skiers will becompeting at the U.S. Senior National Championships and Junior World TeamTrials in Rumford, Mainefrom January 3-10.

 

The final naming of the U.S. Junior World Team will bedetermined at these championships.
