BAY CITY, Mich.â€Ã‚“ Brandon Genwright was the lone Northern Michigan Universityfootball player to be named to the 2003 GLIAC All-Conference Football Team as afirst team selection.  Genwright wasnamed as one of the linebackers to the squad. He led the 2003 â€Ã‚˜Cats with 66 solo and 56 assisted tackles.  Genwright also had 11 tackles for loss (-33yards), one-and-a-half sacks (-9 yards), four interceptions and three fumblerecoveries. Ã‚ ÃƒÃ‚‚ ÃƒÃ‚‚ 

NMU placed three players on thesecond team offense.  Abram McCoy wasnamed as a running back, Vinney Mayfield was selected as a wide receiver and DanNett was chosen to a place along the line.

McCoy led the â€Ã‚˜Cats on the groundwith 927 yards on 231 carries.  He ledthe team in 2003 with six rushing touchdowns. Mayfield caught a team-leading 85 receptions for 1,019 yards.  His 85 receptions set a new NMU mark forreceptions in a season.  Mayfield hadseven touchdowns on the season.  Nett ledan offensive line that let the â€Ã‚˜Cats produce 4,440 yards of total offense forthe 2003 season.

Jeff Beneteau (OG), Dion Brown (DB)and Josh Sherko (DL) were named to the 2003 All-GLIAC Honorable Mention Team.
