GREEN BAY, Wis. â€Ã‚“ The NMU menâ€Ã‚™s basketball team playedan exhibition game before they would start for real next week.  Thursday night the â€Ã‚˜Cats played at UW-Green Bay and lost by a 77-33 count.

Only one player scored in double-digits as Ricky Volcy led the way with 10 points.  Billy Hill and Matt LePagewere next on the scoring list with six points each.

Marco Volcy and Hill both had sixboards to lead the â€Ã‚˜Cats.  As a team NMUshot 22 percent from the floor for the game (11-50) and were only 1-25 fromthree-point range (four percent).  Fromthe free throw line the â€Ã‚˜Cats were 10-17 for 58.8 percent.

UW-GB was led by Mike King and his 21 points on the night.

The â€Ã‚˜Cats will start for real at the U.S. Bank Tip OffClassic in Fargo, N.D. next Friday night (Nov. 21) against North DakotaState.  The â€Ã‚˜Cats then will playMinnesota-Moorhead the next day.
