MARQUETTE, Mich.- The Northern Michigan University volleyball team accomplishedsomething that no other team has done in the history of the program.  The 2003 team went through the regular seasonwith an undefeated record.  The â€Ã‚˜Cats defeatedFerris State on Saturday in three straight games (30-28, 30-27, 30-25) tofinish the regular season with a 23-0 overall record and a 18-0 record in theGLIAC.  This is the sixth time that theteam has gone through the GLIAC schedule undefeated.  Ferris falls to 15-13 on the season and 12-6in the conference.

Aimee Dewitte continued with her play from yesterday as sheled the â€Ã‚˜Cats with 11 kills and seven digs on the day.  Jennie Little was the only other player tohit for double-digits as she ended the match with 10 kills. 

Anne (Kinsella) Hasenstab playing in her final regularseason match at home had 18 assists and eight digs in the win.  Freshman, Ashley Kiel had three service aces,nine digs and two block assists.

The â€Ã‚˜Cats will travel to Battle Creek, Mich. to play in the GLIAC VolleyballTournament starting on Thursday, November 13. The tournament will run from Thursday to Saturday.
