ANN ARBOR, Mich. â€Ã‚“ The â€Ã‚˜Cats entering the weekend at Michiganwas the only CCHA team to have a winning record at Yost Ice Arena.  Now the â€Ã‚˜Cats are with the rest of the CCHAas they now have a losing record at 8-9-0.  Sunday afternoon the Wolverines scored firstand won the game 5-2 to take the weekend sweep. NMU is now 3-3-0overall and 2-2-0 in theCCHA.  UM improves on the season to 6-1-0 and 3-1-0 in the conference.

Darin Olver tied the game at one-all with his fourth goal ofthe season at 11:28 of the openingperiod.  Matt Maunu picked up his firstpoint as a â€Ã‚˜Cat on the assist as Andrew Contois had the other assist on Olverâ€Ã‚™sgoal.

With the score 2-1 in favor of Michigan,Dirk Southern scored his third goal of the season at 4:30 of the second period. Ã‚ Justin Kinnunen and Geoff Waughassisted on the goal.

The Wolverines added three more goals for the final margin.

Craig Kowalski went the distance for the â€Ã‚˜Cats in goal thisafternoon, but he did not have the saves as he did on Friday night.  Kowalski ended the day with 29 saves.  Al Montoya for UM had 24 saves.

UM had 34 shots on the day while the â€Ã‚˜Cats had 26 shots.  Michiganscored three of their five goals on the power play as they were three of sevenon the afternoon.  The â€Ã‚˜Cats on the otherhand went scoreless on five power-play opportunities.

NMU has an exhibition game against the USNTDP U-18 Team onFriday (Oct. 31) at 7:35 p.m.
