'Cats Approaching Record With Win Over Svsu On Sunday


 

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. â€Ã‚“ The NMU volleyball team is fastapproaching the 28-0 record to start the season that was set by the 1993squad.  The 2003 edition is now 19-0 onthe season and 14-0 in the GLIAC with a three game win over Saginaw Valley on Sunday (31-29, 30-18,30-17).  The Cardinals are now 2-22 onthe season and 0-15 in the conference.

No â€Ã‚˜Cat had double-digit in kills, but three had eight killsto share the team-lead.  Aimee Dewitte,Beth Honaker and Andrea Smith all shared the team honor on the day.  Dewitte added 10 digs in the win. 

Anne (Kinsella) Hasenstab added 21 assists to go along withher team-high 11 digs.  Jennie Littlecontributed with three service aces and two blocks (one solo and oneassisted).  Liz Kohn added 10 digs in thewin on the day.

The â€Ã‚˜Cats are in action twice this week with a match againstMichigan Tech on Wednesday (Oct. 29) and will play Lake Superioron Saturday (Nov. 1).
