MARQUETTE, Mich. â€Ã‚“The â€Ã‚˜Cats extended their winning ways with a convincing three-game win overAshland on Sunday afternoon at the Vandament Arena.  NMU won the first game 30-16 before beingchallenged in the second game, but still won 30-28, as the â€Ã‚˜Cats wrapped up thematch with a 30-17 win in the third game. NMU is now 17-0 overall on the season and 12-0 in the GLIAC.  Ashlandfalls to 5-19 and 1-11 in conference action.

Ashley Kiel had 10 kills in 15 attempts on the day for ahitting percentage of .533.  She also hadthree assists, four digs and five total blocks (one solo and fourassists).  Jennie Little and HollyGreenamyre both had 12 kills for the match. Little had 19 total attempts for a hitting percentage of .526.  She also chipped in three assists, oneservice ace, three digs and three block assists.  Greenamyre had 14 total attempts for ahitting percentage of .857.  As a teamthe â€Ã‚˜Cats had 54 kills in 94 attempts for a hitting percentage of .479.

Anne (Kinsella) Hasenstab had a match-high 23 assists.  Liz Kohn led the â€Ã‚˜Cats with nine kills forthe match. 

The â€Ã‚˜Cats are on the road next weekend to tangle withNorthwood (Oct. 25) and Saginaw Valley(Oct. 26).
