'Cats Roll Along

 

MARQUETTE, Mich.â€Ã‚“ The â€Ã‚˜Cats keep rolling along as they won their 13th straightvolleyball match (13-0) on Saturday afternoon at the Vandament Arena.  Only the 1993 team has a longer winningstreak.  NMU defeated Hillsdale in fourgames (30-21, 30-14, 23-30, 30-27) to also stay perfect in the GLIAC at8-0.  Hillsdale is now 13-10 overall and5-4 in the conference.

Jennie Little was powerful with the kills as she had 17 onthe afternoon in 33 attempts for a .424 hitting percentage.  Andrea Smith added 14 kills while AimeeDewitte had 11.  Liz Kohn and Ashley Kielwere stellar on the defensive front as they had 18 and 17 digsrespectively.  Anne (Kinsella) Hasenstabled the â€Ã‚˜Cats with 28 assists.  Kielalso chipped in with one block solo, six block assists for seven total blocksfor the match.

The â€Ã‚˜Cats stay at home tomorrow (October 12) with a matchagainst Wayne Stateat 11:00 a.m.
