RIVER FALLS, Wis. â€Ã‚“ The Northern Michigan Universitywomenâ€Ã‚™s soccer squad won their fourth game in a row on Saturday afternoon witha 1-0 victory over UW-River Falls.  With the win the â€Ã‚˜Cats are now 7-2-1 overall on the season.


Kerri Vander Velden scored the lone goal of the game at the45:47 mark.  Her goal was assisted byMichelle Brown.  For Vander Velden it washer fourth goal of the season.  JamieRocho went the distance in goal for the â€Ã‚˜Cats as she had eight saves for thegame.


NMU had 24 shots on the day as the home team shot the ball14 times.  NMU had four corner kick forthe game as River Fallsjust had one corner kick. 


The â€Ã‚˜Cats have one more game left on their road swing asthey play at Concordia-St. Paul tomorrow afternoon (Oct. 5).
