MOORHEAD, Minn.â€Ã‚“ The Wildcats got their first real victory of the season on Sunday with a2-0 shutout of Minnesota State University-Moorhead.  The â€Ã‚˜Cats are now 2-1 on the season while theDragons fall to 1-1.

Carolyn Kunas scored her first goal of the season at the62:00 minute mark to give NMU the early 1-0 advantage.  Michelle Gillespie then followed that up witha goal at the 79:00 minute mark of the game for the final margin.

The â€Ã‚˜Cats had a big shot advantage as they recorded 15 shotswhile the Dragons had two shots.  NMU hadsix corner kicks as MSUM did not have a corner kick for the game.

The â€Ã‚˜Cats are on the road again this coming week as theyplay at St. Josephâ€Ã‚™s on Thursday(Sept. 4) and are at Southern Indiana on Saturday (Sept. 6).
