MARQUETTE, Mich. - Dean Ellis, the Head Men's Basketball Coach atNorthern Michigan University, has announced that Jake Suardinifrom Gwinn, Mich. and Ricky Volcy from Montreal haveboth signed financial aid tenders to attend NMU and play basketball for theWildcats.  Ricky is the brother ofcurrent 'Cat, Marco Volcy.

Suardini, from Gwinn High School averaged over 27 points a game during his seniorcampaign.  He also averaged almost ninerebounds and over three assists a game for the 2002-03 season.

Volcy played at Montmorency College in Montreal this past season.

"We decided to signthese two players, as they both will become an integral part of the team foryears to come," Ellis said.
