MARQUETTE, Mich. â€Ã‚“ Northern Michigan University willhost CCHA foe Western Michigan University in the first round of the CCHAPlayoffs.  The first round is abest-of-three series.  The first gamewill be on Friday night (March 14) at 7:05 p.m.  Game two of the series is set for Saturday night (March 15) alsoat 7:05 p.m.  The third game of theseries would be on Sunday (March 16) if necessary as the face off would be at7:05 p.m.  The winner of the series willadvance to Joe Louis Arena in Detroit for the CCHA Super Six (March20-22).  All the first round games areat the Berry Events Center.

Tickets for the first round are available at the SuperiorDome, Willy's Snak Shak, Forest Roberts Theatre and at the door.  Tickets can be purchased on-line at over the phone by calling (906) 227-1032. Visa, MasterCard and Discover are accepted by the NMU TicketOffice. 

Season ticket holders have until Thursday, March 13 by 7:00p.m. to purchase their first round series tickets at their same seats as theirseason tickets.  They must purchasethese tickets at the Superior Dome only.

If there is a game on Sunday (March 16) tickets will beavailable at the Superior Dome from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and then at theBerry Events Center from 4:00 p.m. through the second period of the game.

General Public - $12.00

Children 18 and under - $6.00

NMU Students - $5.00


Blue Line Luncheon

A special playoff Northern Michigan Hockey Blue LineLuncheon is set for Friday (March 14) at 11:45 a.m. in the Peter White Loungeof the Don H. Bottum University Center on the NMU campus. Ã‚  The event will serve as a preview to thefirst round playoff series with Western Michigan. 

Featured speakers at the luncheon will be Northern MichiganHead Coach Walt Kyle as well as selected Wildcats.

Cost of the luncheon is $7.50 and tickets can be purchasedat the door.  The event is open to thepublic.
